The identification and rectification of building defects and associated issues of dampness such as condensation, penetrating damp, rising damp, bridging, high external ground levels, plumbing leaks, leaking rainwater goods and driving rain.
We advise private and commercial clients through a process of inspection, following which a report is produced in which we diagnose and provide schedules of repair work where necessary. We pride ourselves on the standard of report that we produce and the advice provided to our clients.
Much of our damp proofing work involves dealing with issues in clients’ homes. Our goal in this work is to provide a clean, prompt, and efficient service. Value to residential clients is maximised through the quality of our work, professional correspondence and the longstanding nature of the business in successfully protecting client property for 46+ years.
‘Rising damp’ is the movement of moisture up through building material as a result of capillary action, whereby the surface tension of water draws it through the pores present within building materials; much like blotting paper or indeed paper kitchen towel absorbs/wicks water through the same physical process.
We have vast experience serving on design teams and working as a specialist subcontractor, designing, managing and implementing larger scale projects. Our designs and advice are backed by £2.5m professional indemnity insurance, we are Constructionline Silver and SafeContractor approved, and we do not compromise on specification.
We have extensive knowledge of historic forms of construction and often work in hand with leading heritage Architects and Consultants to apply that which is appropriate for the structure, rather than inappropriate modern techniques. To date we have worked on over 560 listed buildings, and have won awards for our work.
